It appears that your experience with the program is paying off.

BTW, I started MMD and then became sidetracked with learning Hexagon 2.5 ... however, there is hope as given enough time the most improbable things occur. :-)

I played a bit with Hexagon, but got frustrated and moved on! The 3D sculpt tool used by most MMD'rs is Metasequoia. [link]
Then they bone with PMDEditor. I doubt I'll use it either, as there are plenty of free models out there.
Have fun, as that's the best way! ;)

If I recall correctly, I paid <$4 or so for Hexagon during a Daz sale last year. Figure I'll at least try to learn it. So far I shunned 3DS and Blender due to the frustration factor. As you've indicated, if it's not enjoyable, why do it. :D

BTW, I do plan to play around with MMD, I just need another spark of enthusiasm. :-)
